These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MageForge online learning platform at courses.mageforge.io ("Platform"), operated by MageForge ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. User Accounts
To purchase courses and access certain features, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Course Purchases and Access
When you purchase a course, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the course content for personal, non-commercial educational use.
- Course access is granted for the lifetime of the course on our Platform
- We reserve the right to update, modify, or remove course content at any time
- If a course is permanently removed from the Platform, affected users will receive a full refund
- Course access is for the purchasing user only and may not be shared or transferred
4. Subscription Plans
If you subscribe to a plan:
- Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
- Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of the current billing period
- We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice

5. Payments
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
- Prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated
- You are responsible for any applicable taxes, currency conversion fees, or bank charges
- We do not store your complete payment card details on our servers
- All transactions are encrypted and processed in compliance with PCI DSS standards
6. Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all course purchases. Full details of our refund terms, including subscription cancellations and exceptions, are available in our Refund Policy.
This refund guarantee is in addition to (and does not affect) your statutory rights under UK consumer protection law.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including but not limited to videos, text, graphics, code examples, quizzes, assignments, and other materials, is the intellectual property of MageForge or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any course content
- Download, record, or capture video content through any means
- Create derivative works based on course content
- Share or redistribute course materials to third parties
- Use course content for commercial purposes without written permission
You retain ownership of any original work you create (e.g., assignment submissions), but grant us a licence to use it for Platform improvement and educational purposes.
8. Prohibited Conduct
When using our Platform, you agree not to:
- Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account
- Download, copy, or distribute course content without authorisation
- Use screen recording, stream-ripping, or other tools to capture course content
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any content protection or access control measures
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or instructors
- Post false reviews, spam, or misleading content
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Platform
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
9. User-Generated Content
You may post reviews, comments, and other content on the Platform. By doing so, you:
- Grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the Platform
- Represent that your content is accurate, does not infringe on third-party rights, and complies with applicable law
- Understand that we may remove content that violates these Terms at our discretion
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Platform and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We do not guarantee that the Platform will be available at all times or free from errors
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform
- Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time through your profile settings.
Upon termination:
- Your right to access purchased courses may be revoked (in cases of Terms violation)
- Provisions regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination
- If we terminate your account without cause, you will receive a pro-rata refund for any unused subscription period
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first at support@mageforge.io to seek a resolution. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you may refer the matter to the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer within the European Union or United Kingdom, you also have the right to submit a complaint through the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
